Melbourne, Australia – The all-new Nissan Qashqai has been named Australi's Best Small SUV at the Drive Car of The Year Awards, finishing with top honours following the publication's comprehensive testing process.

The expert judging team was left thoroughly impressed by the all-new Qashqai, saying it "redefines what buyers can expect from a small SUV".

The Qashqai arrived as part of Nissan's "All-New In 2022" model roll-out, joining the all-new X-Trail, Pathfinder and Z to give Nissan one of the freshest model line-ups in the country.

Drive's judges said, "The new Nissan Qashqai absolutely nails small SUV expectations.

"With a host of technology and safety features, plus a heap of usable space, the Nissan Qashqai redefines what buyers can expect from a small SUV."

The Drive testing process is among the most rigorous in Australia, with only new models that have sufficiently impressed during the regular testing year invited to compete for the title of segment's best.

Testing occurs at Transport for NSW's Future Mobility Testing and Research Centre at Cudal on the mid-NSW — a state-of-the-art facility perfect for in-depth testing.

Once there, they are put through their paces by Drive's 11-person editorial team, drawing on a combined 200+ years of industry experience to reach a verdict.

"The Qashqai proves that small SUVs can be big on style, space, technology and personality," said Nissan Australia Managing Director, Adam Paterson.

"We were already proud of the incredible new Qashqai, and we're thrilled to have received such a prestigious accolade."
