Melbourne, Australia – The Nissan Patrol has received another important award, with the iconic SUV named 2023 CarExpert Best Off-Road 4WD SUV, finishing first in a crowded field of seven-seat SUVs after several days of rigorous testing.

CarExpert's off-road testing was completed over five days across two proving grounds, with 12 seven-seat SUVs put to the test by the publication's experts across a wide range of surfaces and conditions.

The judges praised the Patrol for its power, capability, refinement and comfort, awarding it top honours at the conclusion of testing.

"The Nissan Patrol has proved you don't need fancy gizmos and gadgets to get the job done," said CarExpert's judging panel.

"In addition to its technical ability off-road, it impressed with ride refinement when tackling uneven terrain, and in giving a sense of confidence from behind the wheel."

The V8-powered Nissan Patrol continues to soar in popularity, with year-to-date sales in 2023 proving the best on record, with more than 2238 vehicles sold. It will soon be joined by the locally developed Patrol Warrior by Premcar, giving Nissan customers more choice than ever before in choosing the vehicle that's right for them.

"The Patrol is one of Nissan's most iconic vehicles, and we're thrilled to receive another prestigious accolade from Australia's motoring media," says Nissan Australia Managing Director, Adam Paterson.

"Whether you're towing, off-roading, setting out for the furthest reaches of this vast country or simply exploring your local backyard, the Patrol is the perfect fit."
