Melbourne, Australia – The Nissan Pathfinder has cemented its position as a vehicle tailor-made for adventure-ready families, with the all-new SUV securing a range-wide five-star ANCAP safety rating.

Tested against stringent 2022 protocols, the Pathfinder impressed in every testing category, including Adult Occupant, Child Occupant, Vulnerable Road Users and Safety Assist, delivering a five-star result across every model in the range, including ST, ST-L, Ti and Ti-L.

Safety arrives as standard across all Pathfinder grades, thanks to the full Nissan Intelligent Mobility safety suite, including Predictive Forward Collision Warning with Junction Assist and Emergency Braking (calibrated for pedestrians and cyclists), Driver Attention Alert, Blind Spot Warning and Intervention, Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and back-up collision intervention, Intelligent Cruise Control with adjustable speed limiter and Traffic Sign Recognition. Tyre pressure monitoring is also fitted to all grades.

Nissan 's semi-autonomous ProPILOT system, fitted to the ST-L grade and upward, links the Intelligent Cruise Control system with steering assist, which maintains vehicle-to-vehicle distance and speed, and keeps the car in the middle of the designated lane. ProPILOT contains the vehicle 's speed to the designated limit unless the driver determines otherwise.

An Around View Monitor with moving object detection, offered from ST-L upwards, is now delivered in digital high-resolution with a wider field of view and greater clarity in varied conditions such as low light and direct sunlight on the camera.

Nine cabin airbags protect Pathfinder 's occupants including full sized bags protecting all passenger rows, and now includes the added protection of a far-side airbag between the two front seat occupants.

The Pathfinder's ANCAP result follows five-star safety ratings for the all-new Nissan Qashqai and Nissan X-Trail.

Adult Occupant

The Nissan Pathfinder scored 32.87 points out of a total 38 (86 percent) in its Adult Occupant testing, including flawless scoring in Side Impact and Oblique Pole testing.

A 50 percent increase in the use of high-strength steel in the all-new Pathfinder's build process delivers a high quality, confident driving experience, but also improves rigidity, absorbing and reducing the force of a collision before it compromises the passenger safety cell.

Child Occupant

The Nissan Pathfinder scored an impressive 45.8 out of a possible 49 (93 percent) in Child Occupant Testing, recording flawless scoring in Dynamic Test Front and Dynamic Test Side, and 11.8 out of 12 for Restraint Installation.

Vulnerable Road User

The Nissan Pathfinder scored 42.31 points out of a total 54 (78 percent) in Vulnerable Road User testing. Equipped with the ability to see where you can't, the Pathfinder's high-tech safety systems — like the Around View Monitor with moving object detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and back-up collision intervention - deliver added peace of mind when manoeuvring the vehicle.

Safety Assist

The Nissan Pathfinder scored 13.61 points out of a total 16 points (85 percent) in Safety Assist testing, including perfect scoring in Occupant Status and Lane Support Systems testing.
